| Lead Psychosocial Incident Command-Develop training methods, manuals, materials and curriculum to train the entire Turkish Guidance Counselor Association (1000 members) to implement an 18 hour classroom-based psychosocial intervention program (CBI®) targeting reduction of psychosocial and traumatic stress for the 75,000 youth left homeless from the two 1999 Turkish earthquakes. Working closely with UNICEF managers and the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE) to train all the Guidance Counselors and Social Workers (SHCEK) of Turkey, conducting field visits to tent cities and demonstrating resiliency based stress reduction techniques for impacted youth. Between 1999 and 2001 the CBI® reached in excess of 30,000 children.
